Cleon Tucker

Bethel Springs, TN: Theresa Cleon Hurst Tucker, age 89, died August 7, 2008 at her home.She was born and reared in the Hurst Nation of Chester County and spent all but eleven years of her life at the same home place. She was the daughter of the late Harmon Elzie and Etta Maness Hurst. She attended school at Masseyville. She was married to Guy Tucker in 1947. They made their home in the same community all their married life where they farmed. Mr. Tucker worked for TVA. He died in 1986 and Mrs. Tucker continued to make her home on the home place. She was a member of the Little Hatchie Primitive Baptist Church.She is survived by two daughters, Dianne Gipson and husband Tom of Henderson and Ginny Yadamec of Henderson; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Tucker and two sisters, Freddie Campbell and Gertrude Whitten and four brothers, Vernard Hurst, Harvey Hurst, Arnold Hurst and Cortez Hurst.
