CLAUDE “BUD†HARRIS
Was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 26, 1923 the son of the late Claude Cornelius and Iris Welch Harris.
On February 10, 1957 he was united in marriage to the former Betty Jo Jones, who survives.
Mr. Harris was a boat captain for McKinnon Bridge Company. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Harris graduated from Memphis Law School.
He departed this life on September 23, 2006 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 28 days.
Other than his wife, Betty of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by 2 daughters, Wanda Brumley of Savannah, Tennessee and Mary A. Lowe of Tipton County, Tennessee.
4 sons, Ronald, Robert, Donald and Steven Harris, all of Savannah, Tennessee.
10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren
One sister, Maureen Foster of Georgetown, Kentucky
2 nieces, Claudean Thurman and Patty Nckown
1 nephew, Jamie Jamison
Other than his parents, Mr. Harris was also preceded in death by one daughter, Melinda DeShazier and one sister, Dot Ribbus.
