Clarence Asa Wood

Clarence Asa Wood was born on November 21, 1940 in Denver, Colorado, the son of the late Dorothy Long Wood. On February 17, 1982, he was united in marriage to Norma Jean DeShazier, who survives.
Prior to moving to Savannah, TN, Mr. Wood previously resided in Miami, FL and Kentucky. He served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, in the early 1960s. Following his service, he was employed by I.B.M., in construction, in logging, and by Burls as a computer programmer, where he worked until retirement. Clarence was an artist. He loved to paint and had paintings displayed in the Miami Museum. He also loved nature, wildlife, and his family and friends.
Mr. Wood departed this life on May 15, 2015 in Jackson, TN at the age of 74 years, 5 months, 24 days.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean DeShazier Wood of Savannah, TN and his sister, Nancy Wood.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Dr. Charles Wood and Dr. Richard Wood.
No service will be held.
