Clarence Franklin Claunch, 67, of Toone, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East.
The husband of Carolyn Oneida Middleton Claunch, who survives, he was a master plumber and owner of Claunch Plumbing. Mr. Claunch was born May 19, 1937 in Macon, son of the late Tom Henry Claunch and Elsie Inez Marie Markle Claunch. He lived in Piperton from 1968-2000 before making his home in Toone. Mr. Claunch loved all sports, especially hunting, fishing and golfing. He served in the U.S. Navy and was Baptist in belief.
Services were 2 PM Saturday, April 9 at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Bolivar with John D. Small and Derek Jowers officiating. Burial was in Eureka Cemetery in McNairy County.
In addition to his wife, whom he married July 3, 1999, survivors include four daughters and one son-in-law, Debbie & Mike Moore and Stephanie Rene Morris, all of Collierville, Michelle Hopper and Cindy Mitchell, both of Lexington; one son, Dennis Claunch .of Collierville; one brother and his wife, Mitt and Margaret Claunch of Toone; two sisters and their husbands, Diane & James Hill and Henrietta & Barry Wilson, all of Collierville; two sisters-in-law, Gladie Eliassen of Indiatlantic, Fla. and Clarene Claunch of
Humboldt; ten grandchildren and one great grandson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Sadie J. Carlin Claunch, after 40 years of marriage, and one brother, Jack Claunch.
