She was born in Madison County and in 1939 moved to Chester County, the daughter of the late Joseph William and Bessie Mae Coleman Simmons. She graduated Chester County High School in 1941 and in 1944 she was married to John L. Weeks. They made their home in Henderson. She worked as a clerk for her husband, while he was Chester County Court Clerk. She later worked as secretary for the Henderson Church of Christ and then as a clerk for the City Hall of Henderson.
She was a member of the American Legion and was a Charter Member of the Woodland Hills Golf and Country Club and a member of the Henderson Church of Christ.
She is survived by three sons, Tim Weeks, Tom Weeks and Terry Weeks all of Henderson; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Davis of Loxley, AL and a brother, Bryan Simmons of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Weeks in November 1998, and two brothers, Carl Simmons and Joe Earl Simmons.
