Clara Maude Stewart

Clara Maude Stewart, age 100 of Middleton, passed away Wednesday morning, November 5, 2008 in Sparta, TN.She was born April 18, 1908 in Hardeman County to the late Jake and Nora Chellie Evann Bass Lambert. Living all of her life in the area, she married Walter Carl Stewart in September of 1925. She had worked as a producion worker at Harmon Automotive and, in her younger years, she loved gardening, canning and being outside. She was a member of the Porter's Creek Baptist Church. Her husband preceded her in death February 15, 1982.Survivors include two daughters, Shelby Stovall and husband Ted of Woodbury, TN, and Magdaline Gaines of West Memphis, AR; a son, Dan Stewart and his wife Ruby Nell of Germantown; a sister, Syble King of Illinois; four grandchildren, Larry Joe Vinson of Arkansas, Brenda Silcox of Memphis, Shelly McCarson of Fairview, TN, and Brent Stewart of Collierville; seven great-grandchilren and three great-great-grandchildren.
