Clara Beatrice Phillips

She was born and reared at Enville, TN, the daughter of the late Emmitt Clyde and Fleetie October Mathis Vinson. She was married to Ambros H. Phillips in 1942. They made their home in McNairy County. She worked at Garan Sportswear at Adamsville and later at Salant & Salant Mfg. in Henderson. They moved to the Henderson area in 1954. Mr. Phillips died in 1998.



She is survived by a son Stan Phillips and wife Diane of Finger; three daughters Brenda Taylor and husband Harold of Humboldt, Sandra Bullman and husband Ralph of Henderson and Sherry Stepp of Lexington; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by a son Reggie Phillips in 1989 and a grandson Phillip Maness in 2001.
