Clara Nell Davis

Services for Clara Nell Davis will be held on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Joel Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the Worley Cemetery at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2009 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday, July 31, 2009 from 8 am to service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Davis was born January 24, 1932 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of Pauline Pulley Warren Pope of Waynesboro, TN who survives and the late Roy Lee Warren. She was united in marriage to Robert (Rob) Davis on October 4, 1951and he preceded her in death on January 13, 1990.
She was a retired factory worker with Genesco and until her illness was employed at the Waynesboro Middle School. Mrs. Davis of the Baptist faith.
She departed this life on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Scott National Health Care in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 6 Months, 4 Days.
Other than her mother, she is survived by a son, Jerry Davis; a daughter, Gayla Fraley both of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Daryll and Brandston Duren and Emily Davis; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Will, and Davis Duren; two sisters, Linda Nutt and Sue Morris both of Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Brandi Marie Duren and brothers, Wilburn and Alton Lee Warren.
