Montejunas, Claire (Scott) of Savannah, TN died January 9th, 2023 at HMC Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 92 years old.
Claire was born June 16, 1930, in Melrose, MA. She graduated from Wakefield High School in 1948. She studied at Melrose Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1954. Claire’s career as a nurse lasted into her 70’s. She had a great passion for helping and caring for others.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Joseph Montejunas who she was married to for 68 years along with their children; Beverly (Scott) Aiman of Chatham, NH, Ellen (Larry) Saulnier of Savannah, TN, and David (Rene) Montejunas of Cape Coral, FL, grandchildren; Gregory (Rene) Montejunas of Antrim, NH, Jessica (John Mack) Nolan of Nashua, NH, Corrine (Elias) Asfour of Lowell, MA, Nicole (Joshua) White of Nashua, NH, Larry Paul (Jennifer) Saulnier of Houston, TX, Mathew Saulnier of Nashua, NH, Colton (Gena) of Huntsville, AL, Anthony Saulnier of Savannah, TN, Trey Link of Cape Coral, FL, Tyler Beauvias of Cape Coral, FL, and Maegan Aiman of Laconia, NH; and great-grandchildren; Autumn Asfour, Paige White, Kyleigh Link, and Jordynn Beauvais .
Claire was pre-deceased by her parents, William and Elena Scott, and her brothers, Gerald Scott(MIA Korea) and James Scott(Navy Vet).
Claire had a passion for swimming, gardening, reading, and cooking. She loved to do her daily water aerobics and plant new things in her garden. She could often be found curled up in her favorite chair with her romance novels which she happily passed along to her family once finished. She was notorious for only trying a recipe once before changing it even when it was perfect.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to join the family at Shackelford funeral directors, 450 Church St, Savannah, TN. A wake will be held on January 19th from 5-8 pm, with a funeral to follow on January 20th at 1 pm.
