Claire Hicks

Claire Hicks, 90, of Whiteville, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

A native of Virginia, she was born Friday, November 14, 1930, daughter of the late Everett C. and Helen Ruth McWatters Reynolds. She married Alfred E. Hicks on November 20, 1955 and they lived in several areas, including Hawaii and Little Rock, traveling with him while he was in the service. She was mainly a "homebody", enjoying being at home, bird watching, growing her flowers, being around her cats, and riding around seeing God's creations. Mrs. Hicks was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ogena Collins and a brother, Dale Alan Reynolds. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to Midway Baptist Church.
