Cindy Weaver

January 20, 1953 — September 17, 2006

Cindy Thomsen Weaver, 53 of Jackson died Sunday, September 17, 2006 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a 20 year battle with Lupus.



Cindy was a 1971 graduate of North Side High School and attended the University of Tennessee at Martin where she met her husband of 31 years, Roy Weaver. Cindy began her career as the first Female Agriculture teacher in the state of Tennessee at the Madison County Vocational Technical School. Cindy later became well known for her plant knowledge throughout the state, while serving as Horticulture Specialist for the University of Tennessee.



Cindy was a life long member of the Southern Baptist Church and was a fine Christian example to others through her many years of suffering daily with the struggles of Lupus, while never forgetting to put others first.



Cindy is survived by her husband Roy Weaver and by two sons, Luke Weaver and Dane Weaver. She is the daughter of V.C. Thomsen and the late Ruth McAlexander Thomsen.

She also leaves one brother Dr. Rodney Thomsen of Dresden, Tennessee and her stepmother Mrs. Anita Thomsen of Jackson and Mother-in-law Doris Weaver of Henderson, Tennessee.



Pallbeares to serve are Dale Fuqua, Greg Sanders, Luke Frank, Chip Sanders, Windell Beshires, Boyd Rowland, Frank Mitchell and Randy Connor.



Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home in

Henderson and at Poplar Heights Baptist Church in Jackson from 3:00 PM until 5:00 pm on Tuesday. Funeral Services will be at 5:00 pm on Tuesday at Poplar Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Roger Abington officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
