Christopher Paul Davis departed this life on Monday, March 16, 2020, at the age of 53 years, 7 months, and 20 days. He was born in Hammond, Indiana on July 25, 1966, the son of Lynn Davis-Miller and the late Herbert Hollis Davis. On August 19, 1988, he was united in marriage to Tina Jean Durbin, who preceded him in death on May 17, 2019.
Chris was a truck driver. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. To know him was to love him. He had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off of his back. Chris was so proud of his girls and told everyone of their many accomplishments. He was selfless, generous, and thoughtful. His laughter was contagious and his personality was unique. His legacy lives on through his children and granchildren who all thought he hung the moon and stars.
Chris is survived by his daughters, Bianca Davis-Shelton and her husband Ricky, and Porsha Davis White and her husband Jacob, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Maddox Edge Shelton, Aidyn Ryker Davis Jeffreys, and Allyson Payge White; mother, Lynn Davis-Miller and her husband Malcom Miller of Counce, Tennessee; sister, Tena Davis Russell and her husband Keith of Panama City, Florida; niece he considered a daughter, Jennifer Weaver; nephew, Jonathan Pickens; great niece, Navi Weaver; and great nephew, Ivan Weaver.
In addition to his father, Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Sam Davis; and grandparents, Olen Davis, Claude and Bessie Haney, and Helen Malone.
