Christine Sheffield

Christine Marie Bland Sheffield was born on April 3, 1942 in Gibson County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Thomas Bland and Flossie Mae Stem Gilmore.

On June 29, 1986, she was united in marriage to Charles Harold Sheffield, who preceded his wife in death on January 27, 2017.

Christine attended Plummers Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. She enjoyed singing, assisting elderly people, and helping take care of other residents at the nursing home. 

Christine Marie Bland Sheffield departed this life on February 16, 2023 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 80 years, 10 months, and 13 days.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Jean McCaig Sierra of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, Billy Wayne Goodman of Jackson, Tennessee, Aldton Woodrow Gilmore of Parsons, Tennessee, Johnny Mack Gilmore of McKenzie, Tennessee, and Jerald Givens of McKenzie, Tennessee; sisters, Brenda Kilgore of Savannah, Tennessee, Mary Givens of Savannah, Tennessee, and Sarah Ann Bland of Milan, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Christine was preceded in death by her son, Jessie Lee McCaig; sister, Shirley Bland; and grandson, Randy Brett Smith.
