She was born in Dunklin County, MO, and reared in Enville and Milledgeville Communities of Chester County, the daughter of the late Lee Andrew and Mary Odie Pugh Martin. She graduated Chester County High School. She was married to Terry Ray Johnson of Roby in 1951. Mr. Johnson died in 1999. She worked for the Chester County School System as secretary at Chester County Junior High for 25 years and retired in 2000. She married Lymon Parsons in 2000. She was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ. She loved to read, gardening and spend time with her family. She had fought a hard battle for over 3 years with colon cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Lymon Parsons of Henderson; a son Marty Johnson of Henderson; four daughters, Tina Wright (Neal) of Reagan, Teresa Newman (Jason), Dawn Clayton (Paul) and Laura Thompson (Todd) all of Henderson; twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren; three step daughters, Deneen Wyers, Ami Alexander and Richella Parham; four brothers, Terry Martin of IL, Robert Martin of Reagan, Ralph Martin of MO, Hugh Martin of Stantonville; five sisters, Garmelia Edgar of Enville, Waymon Barber of Enville, Vonah Wood of Enville, Cornethia Andrews of Oregon and Retha Fanning of MO.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harley Martin in 1991.
