Christine Massengill was born April 16, 1926 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Roy and Bertha Michael Garner.
She was united in marriage to Thomas Earl Massengill on May 16, 1944. Mr. Massengill preceded her in death on January 23, 1990.
Mrs. Massengill was a Courier for 8 years at Home Banking Company in Selmer, TN. She was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church.
Mrs. Massengill loved to play computer games and dominos, enjoyed taking trips with her church, collecting what-nots, cooking, squaredancing, and piecing quilts for her family and friends.
Mrs. Massengill departed this life on November 29, 2007 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 7 Months, 13 Days. She is survived by two sons, Lonnie Earl Massengill and wife Bobbie of Coldwater, MS and Keith Massengill and wife Pam of Eads, TN; two daughters, Debbie Carter and husband Frankie of Selmer, TN and Karen Seaton and husband Don of Adamsville, TN; a sister, Verblene McCormick and husband James Deward of Adamsville, TN; a brother, Carlton Garner and wife Linda of Finger, TN; special friend Floyd Milford of Adamsville, TN; 13 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Massengill was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Mae Massengill; a grandchild, Shawn Rankins; a grt-grandchild, Cole Rankins; and a brother, Franklin Garner.
