Christine Gober

Christine Goberwas born in Philadelphia, Mississippi on November 21, 1929 the daughter of the late Alton and Pearl Yarbrough.On January 4, 1950 she was united in marriage to Bobby Joe Gober, who survives.Mrs. Gober had worked for Combined Insurance for 22 years before retiring. In addition to living in Philadelphia, Mississippi she had lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Chicago, Illinois, and Counce, Tennessee. Mrs. Gober was a member of the Counce First United Pentecostal Church for 28 years. She enjoyed canning and loved her family. Mrs. Gober departed this life on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the age of 78 years, 10 months, 18 days.In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son: Terry Joe Gober of Acworth, Georgia; 5 brothers: David Yarbrough of Arlington, Texas, Bob Yarbrough of Roselle, Illinois, Dennis Yarbrough of Canton, Mississippi, Bill Willie Yarbrough of Demopolis, Alabama, and Charles Yarbrough of Tillatoba, Mississippi and 5 wonderful sisters-in-law; 5 grandchildren: Tricia, Jason, Nathan, Aaron, and Jeremy.
