William Christopher Grissom, age 52, passed away on February 15, 2025.
Chris was born on October 27, 1972, to Bill and Joan Grissom in St. Louis, Missouri.
On April 13, 2001, he married the love of his life, Kim, and together they built a beautiful family that included her three daughters: Jessica, Holly, and Samantha.
Chris dedicated nearly three decades to the Selmer Utility Division, where he began his career in 1996 and eventually rose to the position of Utility Director. He had a deep love for sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, NASCAR, and football, and he took great pride in his extensive collection of sports memorabilia. More than anything, he treasured the time spent with his grandsons, Gage and Matthew, whether he was cheering them on at their ballgames or enjoying a round of golf with Gage.
A proud graduate of McNairy Central High School, Class of 1991, Chris was known for his dedication to his family, friends, and community.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Grissom; his parents, Bill and Joan Grissom; his daughters, Jessica Kiestler (Scotty), Holly Rickman (Matt), and Samantha Pickens (Andy); his sister, Joy Grissom; and his grandchildren, Gage Kiestler, Matthew Rickman, Barrett Pickens, and soon-to-arrive granddaughter, Hollis Pickens. He is also remembered fondly by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and his second family at the Selmer Utility Division.
Pallbearers: Justin Coleman, Mike Parmely, Terry Moore, Mike Dickey, Terry Hill, Kevin Brush, Jerry Dorris, Matt Steadman, and David McBride.
Chris’s legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
