Born March 29, 1943, in Collierville, son of the late Eloice and Katherine Cox Wood, he made his home in Walnut for the past 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Hulsey Wood, whom he married November 26, 1966; one sister, Martha Ruth Wood of Memphis; two brothers, Jessie Bedford Wood of Memphis and Franklin Leon Wood of Orlando, Florida and four nephews.
