Charles Rayburn Smith

Charles Rayburn Smith was born August 27, 1927 in Luray, Tennessee the son of the late Napoleon Smith and the late Vassie Davis Smith. He was a retired line foreman for Southwest Tennessee Electric Cooperative with 38 years service.Mr. Smith departed this life on Thursday, December 1, 2005 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 3 Months, 4 Days.Services will be on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home, Selmer, Tennessee, with Fate Britt officiating. Burial to follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery at Bethel Springs, Tennessee.Survivors are his wife Euphia Louise Russom Smith of Jackson, Tennessee, a daughter Judy Jordan and husband, Carrol of Jackson, Tennessee, a son Willard Smith of Jackson, Tennessee, siblings Mildred Surratt of Henderson, Tennessee, Osa Lee Taylor of Henderson, Tennessee, Maerine Blackstock of Lexington, Tennessee, Shirley Talley of Henderson, Tennessee, Jerry Smith of Milan, Tennessee, Johnny Smith of Henderson, Tennessee. 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.Other than his parents, also preceded in death by a son Royce Smith, a sister Wilma Sue Connor, and two brothers, Vestern Smith and Bobby Eugene Smith.
