Charles Edward Sherrill
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 24, 1940 the son of the late Edward and Mae Tilley Sherrill.
On February 19, 1962 he was united in marriage to the former Bonnie Bernice Daniel, who survives. Mr. Sherrill worked as a delivery man for Tom’s Graham Food Snacks and was of Freewill Baptist belief.
He departed this life on November 19, 2006 at his home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 66 years, 6 months and 26 days.
Mr. Sherrill is survived by his wife, Bonnie Sherrill of Savannah, Tennessee;
2 sons: Jerry Gammill of Florence, Alabama and Jackie Gammill of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 daughters: Judy Gray of Savannah, Tennessee and Jonell Walker of Burnsville, Mississippi; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a brother, Kenneth Sherrill of Waynesboro, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julie Ann Boston; his paternal grandparents, Clay and Effie Sherrill and his maternal grandparents, Marshall Tilley and Ada Melson Tilley Franks.
