Charles T Shelton

Charles T. Shelton, age 78 of Memphis, passed from this life Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in Salem, Arkansas.The widower of Gloria Shelton, who preceded him in death February 1, 1998, he was born October 14, 1930 in Middleton, TN to the late Charles Turner and Effie Lea Matthews Shelton. He lived in the area until 1943 when he moved to Memphis and later to Arkansas. He served his country in Germany with the United States Army and was a Baptist in faith. Survivors include a sister, Louise Shelton Burgess of Germantown; two stepsons, Bill Stokes of Salem, AR and Louis Stokes of Olive Branch, MS; and two stepdaughters, LIsa Waits of Godley, TX and Pat Garton of Vicksburg, MS.
