Charles M. Shea

Charles M. Shea was born May 6, 1930 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late George M. and Sadye Mae Shelton Shea. Mr. Shea departed this life on February 9, 2012 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 81 Years, 9 Months, 3 Days.



He was united in marriage to Juanita Sue King Shea who preceded him in death on March 31, 2009.



Mr. Shea worked in sheet metal construction and was a member (retired) of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #4 in Memphis, TN. He was a member of Cypress Tank Church of Christ, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a Mason of the Middleton, TN Masonic Lodge. He loved to garden, fish, rabbit hunt, and playing with his grandbabies.



He is survived by two daughters, Joye Shea of Memphis, TN, Lisa Shea Jones and husband Ted of Clinton, AR; two sons, Greg Shea and wife Cetta of Memphis, TN, Chuck Shea and wife Wanda of Middleton, TN; four sisters, Wilma Hurley of Stantonville, TN, Connie Kirk of Canton, MI, Sandra Bahr of Selmer, TN, Kay Caudill of Port Angeles, WA; a brother, Dennis Shea of Rickman, TN; 6 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren. A host of extended family and friends.



In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Shea was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Shea; a sister, Nan Roberson; three brothers, George Melvin Shea, James O'Shea, Tim Shea.



Funeral services on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Dr. Brian Jackson, Dr. David Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Ramer Cemetery at Ramer, Tennessee. Serving as Pallbearers were David Weathers, Mike Shirley, David Forsythe, Ted Jones, David Dickey, Johnny Allen.
