Charles Edward Prater
was born in Clifton, Tennessee the son of the late Pink and Oda Ricketts Prater.
On June 12, 1947 he was united in marriage to the former Laura Jean Sell, who preceded him in death on December 20, 1981.
Mr. Prater worked as a truck driver ant was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He departed this life on January 29, 2006 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 79 years.
Mr. Prater is survived by a son, Marvin Prater of St. Francis, Minnesota; a daughter, Barbara Clark of Spring Hill, Florida;
2 sisters: Evelyn Sell of Bradenton, Florida and Jan Thompson of Waynesboro, Tennessee; and four brothers: W.S. Prater of Clifton, Tennessee; Phillip Prater of Nashville, Tennessee; Tom Prater of Michigan and Virgil Prater of Romeo, Michigan.
In addition to his parents and wife, Laura Jean Prater, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Walter and Butch Prater.
