Charles Eugene Morgan

Charles Eugene Morgan of Waynesboro was born August 29, 1933 in Waynesboro, TN the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt "Bigun" and Flossie Jane Daniel Morgan. He was married to Clara Nell McCurry December 11, 1954 and she preceded him in death May 31, 1994. Mr. Morgan died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro at the age of 81 Years, 1 Month, 12 Days. Mr. Morgan, a U.S. Army veteran, formerly lived in the 48 Creek community and was formerly employed at Murray Ohio Manufacturing in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. He was a member of Wayne Furnace Church of Christ.

He is survived by two sons, Charles Dwayne Morgan and Larry Keith Morgan both of Waynesboro, TN, three daughters, Patricia Gayle Brewer of Waynesboro, TN, Jackie Faye Pevahouse of Clifton, TN, and Marilyn Sue McClain of Hermitage, TN, seven grandchildren, Heather Warren, Daniel Prater, Monica Hester, Ashley Morris, Justin Cole McClain, Charles Zachary Morgan, and Stephen Kyle Morgan, eight great grandchildren, Jaylee, Dylan, Landyn, Lauryn, Leslie, Leaya Beth, Dane, and Ava, a brother, Albert Franklin Morgan of Waynesboro, TN, nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bambi Pevahouse, two brothers, Billy Gene Morgan and Bobby Dean Morgan, and a sister, Ruth Kathleen Morgan Runions.

Services will be Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Cary Crews officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Waynesboro with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
