Charles Edward McDaniel of Stantonville, Tennessee, was born on June 26, 1924, the son of the late William Bill McDaniel and Myrtle Greer McDaniel. He married Ernestine Henson on May 2, 1947. Mrs. McDaniel preceded him in death on February 11, 1987. Mr. McDaniel served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Shelby during World War II, spending a period of 2 years on the ship. He was a member of West Shiloh Baptist Church serving in the capacity as a Deacon since September 29, 1948. He was a Charter member of the Stantonville Ruritan Club. Mr. McDaniel was a salesman at the former General Building Supplies Company in Corinth, Mississippi. He also farmed and loved doing various types of woodwork in his shop. Mr. McDaniel died on Monday, December 17, 2007, in Selmer, Tennessee, at the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 21 days.Survivors are his son Ed Neal McDaniel and wife Kay of Stantonville; Grandson Jeremy McDaniel of Stantonville; His sister Mary Lou Stader of Memphis. A host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
