Charles Clement Lemon Jr, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in Waynesboro, TN. He was born on September 19, 1947, in Wilmington, DE, Charles was the son of the late Charles Clement Sr. and Ann Kienle Lemon.

Charles honorably served our nation in the United States Army. His commitment and bravery are a testament to the values he held dear throughout his life.

On March 23, 1979, he found love with Mary Jane Toomey, sharing a joyful partnership until her passing on December 10, 2023, a loss that deeply affected him. Their bond was a beautiful journey of love and companionship, and they are reunited now.

With a steady hand, Charles served his community for many years as a letter carrier with the Postal Service, later transitioning into janitorial work, until his retirement.

When he was able, Charles found peace in taking walks through nature. His ability to find joy in life's simple pleasures is a lasting legacy for all who knew him.

Charles leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will be cherished by family and friends alike. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loyal friend, and a man of integrity. .

He is survived by a son, Christian Lemon (Hayley) of Palm Harbor, FL; daughter, Julie Cross (Clayton) of Iron City, TN; grandchildren, Lynne Hare, Michael Hare Jr., Chloee Cross, Kylie Russell, Jodi Cross, Annabelle Cross, Becca Cross, Charley Cross, Iris Lemon, Orion Lemon, and Clover Lemon; and great grandchildren, Ariana, Jace, Aiden, and Caleb.

In addition to his wife and parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Michael Hare.
