Charles Ray Joyner of Bethel Springs was born on September 13, 1932, son of the late Oscar and Luella Williams Joyner. He was retired from Williams Steel Company in Jackson, Tennessee. Charles was a member of the Pentecostals of Bethel Springs. He was a veteran of the National Guard.He passed from this life on Saturday, March 21, 2009, in Jackson at the age of 76 years, 6 months, and 8 days. His first wife, Rachel, preceded him in death on March 19, 2008.Survivors are his wife Peggy Franks Joyner of Bethel Springs; two daughters, Sandra Long of Selmer and Robbie Owens of Huron, Tennessee; two sons, Bobby Joyner of Savannah and Tony Joyner of Selmer; three brothers, Paul Joyner of Jackson, E. O. Joyner of Finger, Tennessee, Jackie Joyner of Selmer.6 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.Other than his first wife and parents, Charles was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ann Joyner, and an infant son. He was also preceded in death by a brother J. L. Joyner.
