Charles Oscar Coffman

Charles Oscar Coffman, Iron City, TN departed this life on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at his residence at the age of 75 Years, 6 Months, 22 Days. He was born February 10, 1941 in Florence, AL, the son of the late Hubert and Pearl Spain Coffman. He was united in marriage to Judy Bailey on April 7, 1967.

Mr. Charles, a retiree from TVA as a Quality Control Inspector, was a member of Whitten Crossroads Methodist Church, the American Legion and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

Survivors, his wife Judy Coffman; sons, William Coffman Sr. and wife, Lisa and Stacey Coffman all of Iron City, TN and Daryll Coffman and wife, Rebecca of Olive Branch, MS; grandchildren, William Coffman, Jr., Whitney Coffman, Brittany Coffman Walker, Austin Coffman, Allyster Coffman and Theo Coffman and great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Coffman and Paul Walker.

Services will be Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Everett Rich and John Allen Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Whitten's Crossroads Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers will be William Coffman Jr., Austin Coffman, Ricky Smith, Jake Smith, Stanley Bailey and Steve Holt.

Visitation will be Friday, September 2, 32016 from 6:00-9:00 pm and Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
