Charles Robert (Bobby) Cagle, Jr. departed this life on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at the age of 78 years, 3 months, 30 days.
He was born in Cerro Gordo, Tennessee the on April 13, 1936, the son of the late Charles Robert and Mildred Louise Meadors Cagle. On May 28, 1957, he was united in marriage to Norma Gayle Jerrolds, who survives. Bobby served in the US Army for 2 years. He was an elder of the Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Tennessee and owned Cagle Purity Distributers. Bobby loved to spend time with his family, and was a great cook and gardener. He owned and rode horses, and spent summer on the river boating.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma Gayle Cagle of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Robert Cagle and wife, Carol of Johnson City, Tennessee; daughter, Lisa Maness and husband, Anthony of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Michael Cagle and wife, Catherine, Leslie Nelson and husband, Rob, Sarah Cagle, Ryan Jerrolds, Cassie Kilborn, Austin Cherry, Dustin Maness; great-grandchild, Harper Maness; sisters, Becky Alexander and Alice Mathews both of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Michael Cagle; sisters, Doris Copeland, Betty Brewington, and Pat Baily.
