Charles W. Brooks

June 30, 1932 — February 24, 2012

The son of Alonzo Wesley and Nancy Clara Fortune Brooks, he was born in Bemis, TN, June 30, 1932. He married Zueline Porter Brooks March 26, 1983, was a self employed carpenter and a member of Pocahontas First Baptist Church. He lived all his life in the Hardeman County area.



In addition to his wife Zueline, he is survived by a daughter, Joanie Smith of Pocahontas; a son Jimmy Duncan of Pocahontas; a brother, James Edward Brooks of Pocahontas; 2 grandchildren, Amanda Russell and her husband Chuck of Middleton and Nick Smith of Ramer; 1 great grandchild, Isaac Russell of Middleton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Hall, Carlin, J. W., Roy, and Troy Brooks, and 3 sisters Mary Gann, Evelyn Yopp, and Etta Fae Steadman.
