Ms. Pirtle died Saturday night at her home in Willistion.
A homemaker, she was born to the late William Howard Camper and Anne Mae Rose Camper and lived here since 1975.
Survivors include four sons, Carl Kenton Brown and Clyde Brown, both of Somerville, Joseph Pirtle and Roger Pirtle, both of Fayetteville, NC; three daughters, Sheila Holden of Somerville, Kim Pirtle of Fayetteville, NC and Doreen White of Bolivar; her husband, Carl Brown of Williston; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
