Charlene Oakley

Charlene Oakleywas born in Savannah, Tennessee on October 11, 1934 the daughter of the late Walter and Rosie Shannon Oakley.During her life, Ms. Oakley worked as a house cleaner and a baby sitter. She was a member of the St. John Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and loved to read.Ms. Oakley departed this life on April 4, 2008 at the age of 73 years, 5 months, 24 days.She is survived by a daughter: Cynthia Sprague and her husband John of Phoenix, Arizona; 5 sons: Charles Goodlow and wife Yvette, Bruce Oakley, Kenneth Oakley, Glenn Oakley, Tony Strickland and his wife Paula all of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 sisters: Rosie Goodlow of Gary, Indiana, Carolyn Marshall and her husband Otis of Flint, Michigan; 3 brothers: Leroy Oakley and his wife Johnnie, Leonard Shannon and his wife Demetrice both of Savannah, Tennessee, Billy Williams and his wife Edith of Ann Arbor, Michigan; 2 grandchildren: Summer Goodlow and Jade Hornbuckle both of Savannah, Tennessee; special friends: Edna Stelle, Chestrine Goodlow, Chaney Winters, Laura Harris.
