Cecil Paul Smith

January 9, 1929 — September 6, 2007

He was born and reared in the Grove Springs Community of Chester County, the son of the late Alvin Smith and Minnie Spencer Smith Benson. He attended school at Cash School House. He worked as a truck driver, farmer and construction work. He was a self employed truck driver and had drove for MFA Oil Company. He was married to Lois Essary in 1947. They made their home in Memphis and Center Point Community. He was a member of the Center Point Holliness Church.



He is survived by his wife, Lois Essary Smith of Reagan; three sons, Paul Smith (Alice) of Reagan, Randy Smith (Linda) of Enville and Roger Smith (Tracy) of Coldwater, MS; four brothers, J.W. Benson of Reagan, Johnny Benson of Enville, Jerry Benson of Reagan and David Benson of Danville, AL and three sisters, Marie Benson of Reagan, Zula Bailey of Henderson and Mildred Bivens of Sardis; three step sisters, Mayrene Essary of Jackson, Nell Cherry of Adamsville and Ollodean Kennedy of Henderson; seven grandchildren, Rhonda Crow, Stephine Willis, Nick Smith, Jonathan Smith, Justin Smith, Hunter Smith and Shannon Smith and two great grandchildren, Haley Elliot and Aaron Elliot.

Deceased brothers, Raymond Smith, D.C. Benson, Tommy Benson, Warren Benson and Frank Benson.
