Cecil Scott

Cecil Scottwas born in Waterloo, Alabama on May 9, 1923 the son of the late Eli and Ruth Smith Scott.On October 18, 1947 he was united in marriage to Polly Loucile Hunt, who survives.Mr. Scott worked as a janitor for the Hardin County School System at Walker Elementary School before retiring. He loved to garden and enjoyed taking care of the kids at the school while he was janitor.Mr. Scott departed this life on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the age of 86 years, 4 days.In addition to his wife, Mr. Scott is survived by a son Audrey Scott, Jr. and his wife Patsy, Louise Murphy and husband David all of Savannah, Tennessee, Bonnie Scott and husband Jim of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; 3 brothers, Marion Scott, Meredith Scott, and Ernie Scott both of Savannah, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren, Steve Scott, Kevin Scott, Bradley Scott, Justin Brewer, Lewis Collins, Teresa Franks all of Savannah, Tennessee, and Jessica Scott of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; 9 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lloyd Scott and Thomas Scott; a sister, Nellie Rinks.
