Cecil Artha Hayes

Funeral services for Cecil Artha (Arthie) Hayes, age 81of Iron City, TN will be Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, TN with David Quillen and Sonny Bogus officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens at Collinwood, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.



Mr. Hayes died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, Florence, Al. A native of Wayne County, he was a son of the late John Larimore and Effie Gertrude Wilson Hayes and father-in-law of the late Terry Moore. Mr. Hayes was a U.S. Navy veteran, was retired from Tennessee Valley Authority, and was a member of Fairview Church of Christ where the children and youth were very special to him.



He is survived by his wife Mrs. Mary Kathleen (Berry) Hayes of Iron City, TN; two sons, Mr. Robby Hayes and wife Linda of Collinwood, TN, Mr. Jacky Hayes and wife Jewel of Florence, AL; a daughter, Kathy Hayes of Iron City , TN; two grandchildren, Brent Hayes of Nashville, TN and Ryan Hayes of Collinwood, TN; three sisters, Mrs. Jurldean (Hayes) Faires and husband Edsel of Florence, AL, Mrs. Mavis (Hayes) Hill and husband G.W. of Iron City, TN, Mrs. Debra (Hayes) Rhymes and husband Richard of Tucson, AZ; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
