Cecil L. Campbell

Mr. Cecil L. Campbell, Sr., age 80 of Bolivar, passed from this life Friday, May 8, 2009 at his home.He was born September 6, 1928 in Haywood County to the late Rev. Irby and Myrtle Campbell. He married Viola Creasy, who survives, December 11, 1946 and lived most of his life in Hardeman County. He worked for Ford Construction in Dyersburg as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Bolivar First Assembly of God. In addition to his wife, he leaves as his survivors three daughters, Francine Tranum of Middleton, Sharllene Campbell of Bolivar and Brenda Hickman of Selmer; three sons, Leon Campbell of Middleton, Michael Campbell of Muscle Shoals, AL and Jerry Campbell of Middleton; six sisters, Mildred Williams of Brownsville, Margaret Ferrell of Brownsville, Louise Martin of Brownsville, Juanita Gammel of Erin, TN, Lillie Bell Kee of Oakland and Treva Carlton of Nashville; one brother, Robert Campbell of Bolivar; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lynwood Campbell.
