Cava Peerey

Cava Massengill Peerey was born December 17, 1911 in Leapwood, Tennessee the daughter of the late Robert Goss and Jennie Isabell Jackson Massengill.She was united in marriage to Marshall Peerey in May of 1950. Mr. Peerey preceded her in death on June 20, 1990.Mrs. Peerey was the youngest of eight children, a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Adamsville where she was the church secretary and treasurer for 30 years. Mrs. Peerey cared for many children in her home for over twenty years. She served in the community as a volunteer with many organizations such as, the Red Cross Blood Drive, McNairy Regional Hospital as a Pink Lady, Adamsville Senior Citizens Center, RSVP Program, Adamsville Library and Southwest Transportation Agency. Mrs. Peerey departed this life on February 2, 2007 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 95 Years, 1 Month, 16 Days. She is survived by her daughter, Jenny Peerey of Adamsville, TN; host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.Mrs. Peerey was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Peerey; her parents, Robert and Jennie Massengill; three sisters and four brothers.
