Finger, TN: Cathy Jo Malone age 63 passed away Sunday morning, August 14, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born November 27, 1952 in Henderson, the daughter of the late William Lester Wade and Sevella Sue Murdaugh Wade Young. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1970 and married Joe Malone in 1971. They made their home in the Beene Road community. She worked for Frank Bell in the State Farm office, then as office manager for the City of Henderson Utility Department, and later as production assistant at the Chester County Independent retiring in 2011. She was a Baptist in belief.
She loved word games, puzzles, and anything mentally challenging. She loved spending time with family and friends.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Joe R. Malone of Finger; a daughter, Marilyn Malone Davis and husband Chris of Henderson; two grandchildren, Dean Davis and Eli Davis and two sisters, Brenda Connor and Glenda Lovell both of Henderson.
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Johnny Connor and Charolette Seeley officiating.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 3:00 PM Wednesday until the service time of 7:00 PM Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to Chester County Relay for Life.
