Casey Carrington

January 13, 1927 — August 30, 2008

He was born and reared in Decatur county at Parson, Tennessee, son of the late Ceacle Roney and Virgie Hay Carrington. He graduated form Parsons High School in 1945 and entered the United States Army and served in the Signal Corps. as a Tec Sergeant in the Army of Occupation in Germany. He was married to Ruth Long of Parsons in 1947. He attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville for his pre-dental degree and the University of Tennessee at Memphis Dental School. He received his Doctorate of Dentist in 1952. He worked in New Orleans with the Public Health Service until he moved the family to Henderson in 1954. He owned and operated his own dental office until his retirement from dentistry in 1998. He was a member if the Tennessee Dental Association and held many positions with the Association.

He served as an Alderman for the City of Henderson for several years. He was a long time member of the Lions Club and a former member of the Henderson Jaycees. He was also a member of the Henderson Elks Lodge.

He had served as in term Administrator of the Chester County Nursing Home for a couple of years and was instrumental in helping form Chester County Healthcare Inc.

He had been disable since in auto accident in January 2003.
