Carolyn Woods Wiles

Carolyn Woods Wiles was born January 12, 1948 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Oval Woods and Hattie Beatrice Whitaker Woods.

She was united in marriage to Jimmie Wiles on June 21, 1969.

Carolyn was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee. Carolyn devoted her life to serving others, both in her work at Brown Shoe Company and throughout her remarkable 20-year career driving a truck. Her kindness and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many, as she opened her heart and home to those in need, helping to raise countless individuals.

A true adventurer at heart, Carolyn cherished every opportunity to travel, with a special love for cruises. She found immense joy in the written word and could often be found engrossed in a good book. However, her greatest joy came from spending precious moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought light and laughter into her life. Being an animal lover, her three Dachshunds, "Baby Girl", "CoCoa", and "Sweet Pea" held a special place in her heart.

Mrs. Wiles departed this life on March 11, 2025 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 1 Month, 27 Days.

Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be remembered by all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends, reminding us all of the importance of kindness and connection.

She is survived by her husband Jimmie Wiles of Stantonville, TN; two sons, Terry Neal Wiles and wife Angela, Steven Ross Wiles; seven grandchildren: Kortney Henson and husband Bobby, Ashley Barnes and husband Barry, Kristyn Espanet and husband David, Alex Wiles, Alison Howard, Dillon Wallis and wife Christie, and Hunter Taylor and wife Taylor; sixteen great grandchildren: Madalyn, Aubrey, Sawyer, Vivian, Gavin, Charlee, Jacob, Zach, Sara, Isaac, Cortynn, Addison, Mason, Carlee, Charlotte, and Mia; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs Wiles was preceded in death by four brothers: Thomas, Clarence, John and Forrest Hawkins.
