Carolyn Jane Thacker

Carolyn Jane Thacker was born March 5, 1948 in Tishomingo County, MS the daughter of the late Wilson Laird and Lorene Laird. 

She enjoyed playing bingo, coloring, and immersing herself in word puzzles. Her enthusiasm for life extended deeply into her involvement with church activities, where she forged meaningful connections with those around her.

Carolyn departed this life on November 18, 2024, in Selmer, Tennessee, at the age of 76 years, 8 months, and 13 days. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and a reminder of the beauty found in everyday moments. Though she will be missed dearly, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children: Judy Coleman and husband Leon, Edward L. Thacker, Betty Thacker all of Selmer, TN; a brother, Ray Laird of Savannah, TN; a sister, Diane Laird; 4 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thacker was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Cummings; and a brother, Donnie Laird.
