Carolyn Hodge, 78, of Olive Branch, MS, departed this life Monday, January 6, 2020 at Methodist Germantown Hospital.
The widow of Albert Gerald "Jerry" Hodge, who died on September 22, 2019 after 58 years of marriage, she was retired from customer service with Fed-Ex, working for 25 years. She was born December 21, 1941, in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Lax and Mable Bea Martin Lax and lived in several states with her husband while he was in the military, prior to settling in Olive Branch for the last 23 years. She was a 1959 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and known for her good southern cooking. She enjoyed painting, shopping and being involved in family outings, especially with her grandsons, whom she dearly loved. Mrs. Hodge was a Baptist in faith.
Survivors include a son, Gerald Wayne Hodge and his wife, Jennifer, of Olive Branch, MS; and two grandsons, Nathan and Zachary Hodge, both of Olive Branch, MS. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
