CAROLYN GRAVES
Henderson, TN: Janis Carolyn Bullman Graves age 76 passed away October 9, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born April 28, 1943 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Garvin Hooper and Josie Almarie Goff Bullman. She graduated Chester County High School in 1961 and graduated West Tennessee Business College. She married Dennis Graves and they made their home in Henderson. She worked for ten years at First State Bank and forty five years with the Department of Human Services, retiring in 2016.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and the Joint Heirs Sunday School Class. She was Past Matron and longtime secretary of the Henderson Chapter 120 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Graves is survived by a son, Brad Graves and wife Tina of Henderson and a daughter Paige Bates and husband Steve of Lobelville; four grandchildren, Colby Bates, Branden Bates, Oakley Bates (Kayla) and Heath Graves (Lauren) and two great grandchildren, Knox Bates and Oaklynn Bates and one brother, Cletus Bullman (Janette) of Olive Branch, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Mallerie Graves.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday at First Baptist Church in Henderson with Brent Bullman and Brad Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon on Saturday.
