Carolyn Lee Butler
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on May 12, 1946 the daughter of the late Jessie Lee and Mary Lucille Ponds Thompson.
She was united in marriage to James Carlton Butler, who preceded his wife in death.
Carolyn was a member of River of Life Church in Crump, Tennessee. She enjoyed fishing, shopping, watching basketball, riding around with her family, and being with her dogs, Midnight and Oliver. Carolyn's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
She departed this life on Sunday, November 28, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 16 days.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Marie Butler Franks and her husband Clint of Shiloh, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kailee Thompson, Caden Thompson, and Hannah Franks; and sisters, Barbara Tucker of Sardis, Tennessee and Lynda Eason and her husband Randall of Lexington, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Ponds and Don Thompson, and one brother-in-law, Max Tucker.
