Carolyn Ann Armstrong

June 16, 1946 — March 23, 2005

Carolyn Ann Armstrong, 58, of the Piney Grove Community of

Henderson, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Bolivar General

Hospital.



The wife of Charles Armstrong, who survives, she was a homemaker.

Mrs. Armstrong was born June 16, 1946 in De Valls Bluff, Ark.,

daughter of the late Harry A. and Dorothy Shelman Griffin. She loved to sew and quilt and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.



Services were 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at Shackelford's chapel in

Bolivar with Danny Hopper officiating. Burial was in Piney Grove

Cemetery near Henderson.



In additon to her husband, whom she married March 5, 1965, survivors include one daughter, Tracy Mayfield of Toone; two sons, Tommy Armstrong of Pocahontas and Tony Armstrong of Lakeland; two sisters, Linda Carneal of Moscowand Rosemary Sayre of Proctor, Ark.; two brothers, Dwight Griffin of Baton Rouge, LA and Bruce Griffin of Williston; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
