Carlos Lee "Bulldog" Cox, age 80 of Middleton, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019, at his home. He was born and lived his entire life in the Middleton community.
The son of the late Connie Euel and Eddie Pauline Davis Cox, he worked for Thyssen-Krupp Elevators (formerly Dover) from May, 1981 until retirement in August, 2002. Prior to working there, Mr. Cox worked in the timber industry. As a youth, he attended Reaves Methodist Church with his parents and accepted the Lord in the weeks prior to his death. On Saturday, August 5, 1967, he was united in marriage to Mary E. McMahan Cox, who survives. In his leisure time, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and was always ready and willing to help anyone who was in need.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carla (Michael) Morrow of Walnut, MS; a son, Daniel (Dana) Cox of Middleton; two sisters, Faye (Marvin) Crumpton and Pat (Jimmy) Hood, both of Memphis; a brother, Pete (Mary Lou) Cox of Middleton; three grandchildren, Thomas, Jonathan and Mariah Morrow; and two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Anderson Morrow.
Mr. Cox was also preceded in death by a sister, Marie Howell; and two brothers, James and Waylon Cox.
