Carlean Wallace Butler

Carlean Wallace Butler of Amory, MS was born June 22, 1930 in Iron City, TN, the daughter of the late Lee V. and Annie Jossie Cody Wallace. Mrs. Butler departed this life on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Diversicare in Amory, Mississippi at the age of 88 years and 9 Days. She was married to Russ Oliver Butler on November 30, 1948 and he preceded her in death May 7, 2005. Mrs. Butler, formerly of Wayne County, had lived in Mantee, MS, was a retired certified nurse assistant and was a member of Mantee Baptist Church.

She is survived by son, Russell G. Butler and wife, Judy of Amory, MS, daughter, Brenda Butler Alford and husband, Pat of Hiram, GA; grandchildren, Michelle Butler George and husband, William, Angela Butler Swan and husband, Eric, Renae Alford Meyer and husband, Chris, Katie Alford Tomlinson and husband, Travis, great-grandchildren, Noah Daniel Swan, Madison Aleric "Ali" Swan, Everett "Rett" Meyer, Bennett "Ben" Meyer, and Kholby Crawford, Evan Reid George and Carys Elizabeth George.
brother, Freddie Wallace, wife, Amanda and sister, Nellie Wallace Helton, husband, James all of Waynesboro, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Bella Katherine George; a sister, Myrtle Butler Jones and brothers, Ammon, Danville, Doyle, Leander, George Almon and Novie Wallace.

Services will be held Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee with Thomas Joel Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 12 pm to service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Tommy Butler, Toney Butler, Wesley Butler, James Ray Helton, Joseph Wallace, and Robert Wallace.
