Was born in Oak Hill, West Virginia on December 24, 1942 the son of Robert and Delphia Fitzwater Smith.
On June 8, 1963 he was united in marriage to the former Shelby Jane Littlejohn, who survives.
Mr. Smith was a retied Police Officer. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a member of Nixon Apostolic Church.
He departed this life on January 8, 2006 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah at the age of 63 years and 15 days.
Other than his wife, Jane of Savannah, he is survived by 2 sons, Carl Smith, Jr. of Crump, Tennessee and Christopher Smith of Savannah, Tennessee.
His parents, Robert and Delphia Smith of Oak Hill, West Virginia.
One sister, Carol Lewis of Oak Hill, West Virginia and 4 brothers, Robert Smith, Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee, Wayne Smith of Oak Hill, West Virginia, Carlos Smith of Wheeling, Illinois and Wesley Smith.
