CARL B. SMITH



Was born in Crump, Tennessee on January 30, 1934 the son of the late Giles Clay and Ella Pearl Love Smith.



On January 3, 1969 he was united in marriage to the former Lillie DeShazier, who preceded her husband in death on February 4, 2006.



Mr. Smith was a disabled veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #568 in Naylor, Missouri. Mr. Smith enjoyed hunting, fishing, knife collecting, carving and gardening and he was a bee keeper.



He departed this life on August 8, 2006 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 9 days.



Mr. Smith is survived by 2 daughters, Dottie Weis of Ballwin, Missouri and Melissa Gargac of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.



5 grandchildren, Michael Wayne Weis, Stephanie Mae Weis, Timothy Albert Rutledge II, Timothy Smith and Thomas Smith.



One brother, Louie Smith of Crump, Tennessee.



4 sisters, Mary Hughes of Camden, Tennessee, Wanda Austin of Memphis, Tennessee, Frankie Pickens of Fayetteville, Tennessee and Dean Anderson of Hendersonville, South Carolina.



Other than his parents and wife, Mr. Smith was also preceded in death by one son, Eddie Smith and 2 sisters, Laverne Smith and Owetta Smith.
