Carl A Rich

Carl A Rich was born May 27, 1931 in Lutts, TN the son of the late Marion Harrison and Lydia Pearl Gillis Rich. He was united in marriage to Ivadean Robertson Rich on November 13, 1954 and she preceded him in death on September 8, 2007. Mr. Rich was an United States Army veteran, a farmer, and retired from the Wayne County Highway Department. He departed this life on October 11, 2022 at the age of 91 years, 4 months, and 15 days.

He is survived by a daughter, Regenia Reaves of Waynesboro, TN; sons, Darwin Rich (Shelia) of Collinwood, TN, Stanley Rich (Carla) of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, April Broome (Tim), Bronson Reaves (Sharae), Ragan Evans (Saul), Tyler Rich, and Sara Stricklin (Jeremy); great grandchildren, Kaden (Hannah), Maddux, Adelyn, Brayson, Brinklee, Mazie, Steeler, Elliot, William, and Knox; and sisters-in-law, Rachel Rich and Marie Rich.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Rich was preceded in death by brothers, Orbie Rich, Arvil Rich, TF Rich, and Joel Rich; and sisters, Alta Scott, Gladys Balentine, Nona Sandusky, Christine Patterson, and Nina Brewer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN, with Bob Johnston and Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery at Iron City, TN with military rites. Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
